The Department of Electronic Engineering at La Trobe University provides training, accredited with the Institution of Engineers, Australia, to approximately 600 undergraduates students. The Department is well equipped with state of the art computing and instrumentation facilities and operates from a modern Engineering complex. The University has an expanding Research and Development Park adjacent to the campus and the Department maintains active links with industry. Much of the research programme within the Department is funded by outside bodies. |

The Department of Electronic Engineering is part of the Cooperartive Research Centre for Diagnostic Technologies which is largely funded by the Commonwealth Government.
